Open standards for data are an essential component of Open Smart City initiatives across Canada. They help governments: a) share information both internally and externally; b) increase transparency with stakeholders; and, c) leverage the potentials of technology to scale.

Comprised of 3 modules, Open standards for data (D102) is a basic course that explains what open standards are and how they can help your community achieve these and other goals.

Once you have finished Open standards for data (D102) you should have an increased awareness and understanding of:
